No. 1 Self / Dorothy Mark Edwards
Mark Edwards is proof you don't have to choose between being successful, being kind, and being fully yourself.
He is a Connector. A Helper. Someone who genuinely cares — sometimes more than the people whose job it is to care the most.
His mission is simple: to inspire others towards empowerment so they can be the best possible version of themselves. He's spent 18+ years in the theater industry — three National Tours, Off-Broadway, Broadway — doing it all with integrity. He made a name for himself in an industry he never formally trained in, and lived in New York for six years when most people don't last one.
Now he has a larger life in Philadelphia. And he acts when he wants to.
As a Voiceover Artist, Mark helps companies, organizations, and authors genuinely connect with their audiences through heartfelt storytelling. His voice is ubiquitous — though most people don't realize it. He is a prominent, award-winning name in the VO industry. He's the voice multiple major brands trust, the voice LGBTQ+ authors choose for their audiobooks, and THE VOICE inside Philadelphia's stadiums. The booth is his escape — the place where different parts of himself get to explore and be found.
As an Actor, Mark is the featured performer everyone recognizes but rarely knows by name. Famous without the fame. A chameleon who has done everything from stage to screen to VO — always with integrity, always with ease. Rarely do you hear anyone say anything negative about Mark Edwards. When his work became so in-demand that he couldn't take every opportunity, he handed them to his students instead. He opens doors.
As a Coach, Mark is THE Financial Coach for Creatives — and the secret sauce isn't that he knows everything. It's that he knows how to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. He meets people where they are and "Google Translates" into their brain language so they get it. He guest lectures at Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, NYU, Penn State, and more — injecting Career Readiness in the Arts directly into curriculums.
"I didn't have this education. I came into the industry because I wanted to try it — not because I studied it and trained in it. This kind of information feels like a secret. And it shouldn't be. I do it all because I WISH I could go back in time and give this information to myself."
His vision is a Collective — a Hub in every major Arts city across the country — where creatives come together to collaborate, learn, and share their gifts. A space where Financial Literacy, Career Development, and Education are always within reach.
He is eliminating the concept of the Starving Artist.
Off stage and out of the booth, Mark is an introvert who has trouble accepting praise — though he deserves all of it. He's a Philadelphia Sports fanatic (to an unhealthy degree), a golfer, a reader, and a proud member of a Gay Bowling League. He struggled with his weight and the shame of it for a long time. Now he's in the best shape of his life at 40, and he sure as hell doesn't look it.
He is a bridge between who you are and who you are becoming.
And he is absolutely someone you can rely on… especially for Dad jokes.
